Polish ticket offices kicket.com and Biletomat.pl, which have built a strong market position in their segments, are joining the Estonian Piletilevi Group.
“This is one of the largest mergers of this type in recent years,” says Maciej Wartacz, CEO kicket.com, and adds: “Thanks to it, one of the largest entities on the Polish ticket market is being created.” Piletilevi is thus strengthening its position as a leader in Central Europe, processing ticket transactions worth almost EUR 320 million annually.
This significant consolidation will not only strengthen the position of kicket.com and Biletomat.pl on the market, but will also open up new prospects for Polish events abroad. The partnership with Piletilevi Group will enable expansion into foreign markets such as Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Romania, which will certainly contribute to cultural development in Poland, opening new horizons for event organizers. "The combination of two dynamic ticket offices will not only expand the offer, but also provide customers with access to serious, trusted experts with extensive experience and knowledge in their segments," says Maciej Wartacz from kicket.com, who is heading the merged companies. "Together with the Kubaczewski brothers from Biletomat.pl, we are creating a team that both knows the industry and is able to shape it, which will bring many benefits to our customers." The largest investment in the history of Piletilevi Group gives the consolidated entities a real chance to achieve a leading position on the Polish market. "Now we are faced with the task of effectively combining the acquired companies with our existing company GoOut Poland, so that the best functionalities of Piletilevi Group and new partners reach all our customers as quickly as possible," says Sven Nuutmann, CEO of Piletilevi Group.
The creation of a ticketing company with a strong market position on the Polish market will give organizers financial security, complement the competition and provide a more diverse selection of cultural events for a larger audience. "The ticketing system connected between countries will significantly improve international cultural exchange," Nuutmann said, adding that the conditions offered to event organizers so far will remain valid even after the merger.
One of the key advantages of the merger is the rich know-how and built technology, which will be a key element in delivering value to customers. "Thanks to the skillful use of our contact database, Dynamic Pricing technology and fast settlement, our contractors will have much greater opportunities for development and efficiency in running their events" - emphasizes Konrad Kubaczewski - CEO of Biletomat.pl, who joined the Management Board of kicket.com. "We had a clear strategy for the development of Biletomat.pl by consolidating the fragmented market in Poland. With an established position in the industry, we began our first moves - the purchase of Wlotki.pl, which allowed us to open up to large indoor events, and then the acquisition of two more ticket offices, Ticketos.pl and Bilety.fm. We devoted 2023 to obtaining the greatest possible synergy from these moves, and the effects exceeded our expectations. This confirmed that we had chosen the right path, so it is with joy and satisfaction that we share further novelties, which are the culmination of our 20 years of work on the Polish market" - says the co-founder of Biletomat.pl Alex Kubaczewski, who after the merger becomes a shareholder of the merged entity. “We have an ambitious task ahead of us, merging operationally and brand-wise with large entities such as kicket.com and the Polish branch of GoOut.net, but we are optimistic about the future and we are convinced that the experience gained in previous mergers will pay off,” adds Alex Kubaczewski.
