Ed Sheeran’s concerts in Kaunas break previous Baltic sales records

The musician’s first concert was sold out in just over 24 hours, and more than half of the tickets for the second concert were sold out nine months before the event dates – Ed Sheeran’s only Baltic concerts break previous entertainment sales records across the region.

Next summer, on August 3 and 4, as part of his “+ – = ÷ x Tour” (Mathematics Tour), the owner of countless musical awards, world pop music superstar Ed Sheeran will offer the audience an absolutely unique 360-degree stage and audiovisual experience at the Steponas Darius and Stašas Girēns Stadium in Kaunas.

This means that more than 90,000 people from all over the world, mainly from the Baltics, of course, will have a great opportunity to enjoy a performance by one of the most talented and successful contemporary pop music artists.

The organizers, the stadium management, the municipality and the artist himself are pleasantly pleased with such interest and are looking forward to two very special evenings in early August.

Gints Putniņš, owner of the concert agency “L Tips Agency”, comments: “We are organizing Ed Šīrans’ concerts in the Baltics for the third time. And each time we are truly pleasantly surprised by the growing love of the audience. In 2019, he set the sales record for the most visited internationally known artist in Latvia of all time. At that time, more than 50,000 people attended the concert in Lucavsala. Now a new record, and now on a Baltic-wide scale!”

Meanwhile, the CEO of the ticket service “Piletilevi Group AS”, Svens Nūtmans, points out: “The ticket sales for Ed Sheeran’s August 3 concert in Kaunas have been the fastest in the 26-year history of “Piletilevi Group AS” and its subsidiaries. Fans from more than 60 countries have purchased tickets for Ed Sheeran’s concert on the www.bilietai.lt website.”

“Piletilevi Group” is an international ticket sales company that owns “Piletilevi” in Estonia, “Biļešu Serviss” in Latvia, “Bilietai.lt” in Lithuania, “Bilete.ro” in Romania and full-service ticket sales sites operating under the GoOut.net brand in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland. This year, “Piletilevi Group” celebrates 26 years of operation.
